Czeski grindcore jako fenomen kulturowy na przykładzie festiwalu Obscene Extreme

Niniejsza praca poświęcona jest analizie czeskiej sceny grindcore’owej z perspektywy antropologii kultury. We wstępie przedstawiono genezę gatunku, uzasadniono wybór tematu, określono cel i przedmiot badań oraz scharakteryzowano strukturę pracy. W pierwszym rozdziale omówiono historię rozwoju grindcore’u w Republice Czeskiej, przedstawiając najważniejsze etapy kształtowania się sceny, jej główne ośrodki, zespoły oraz znaczenie festiwalu Obscene Extreme. Drugi rozdział poświęcono metodologii badań, opisując przebieg badań terenowych, zastosowane metody jakościowe oraz wykorzystane narzędzia analizy antropologicznej. W rozdziale trzecim przeprowadzono analizę materiału empirycznego zgromadzonego podczas badań terenowych i wywiadów, interpretując funkcjonowanie czeskiej sceny grindcore’owej z wykorzystaniem takich kategorii antropologicznych jak communitas, illud tempus czy karnawalizacja. W zakończeniu sformułowano wnioski odnoszące się do całości pracy, wskazując, że grindcore w Republice Czeskiej stanowi nie tylko gatunek muzyczny, lecz także złożoną wspólnotę kulturową opartą na etosie niezależności, wspólnych praktykach, solidarności i podzielanych wartościach, a festiwal Obscene Extreme pełni funkcję przestrzeni integrującej uczestników międzynarodowej sceny. Na końcu pracy zamieszczono obszerny aneks z transkrypcją wywiadów pogłębionych, które zostały przeprowadzone z uczestnikami festiwalu Obscene Extreme.

This thesis analyses the Czech grindcore scene from the perspective of cultural anthropology. The introduction outlines the origins of the genre, explains the choice of the research topic, defines the aim and subject of the study, and presents the structure of the thesis. The first chapter discusses the historical development of grindcore in the Czech Republic, presenting the key stages in the formation of the scene, its main centres and bands, as well as the significance of the Obscene Extreme festival. The second chapter focuses on the research methodology, describing the course of the fieldwork, the qualitative methods applied, and the analytical tools drawn from anthropology. The third chapter analyses the empirical material collected through fieldwork and interviews, interpreting the Czech grindcore scene through such anthropological concepts as communitas, illud tempus, and carnivalization. The conclusion presents findings concerning the thesis as a whole, demonstrating that grindcore in the Czech Republic constitutes not only a musical genre but also a complex cultural community based on an ethos of independence, shared practices, solidarity, and common values, while the Obscene Extreme festival serves as a space that brings together members of the international grindcore scene. The thesis concludes with an extensive appendix containing transcripts of in-depth interviews conducted with participants of the Obscene Extreme festival.
