Zespoły bramne na zamkach krzyżackich w świetle badań archeologicznych

Celem pracy jest zestawienie i omówienie rozpoznanych archeologicznie zespołów bramnych i ich architektury w obrębie zamków wysokich dawnego państwa zakonu krzyżackiego. Autor opisuje budowle obronne używane w celu obrony dostępu do dziedzińca zamkowego i wprowadza pojęcie zespołu bramnego. Główną część pracy stanowi katalog, w którym opisano 22 zamki i ich zespoły bramne. Podstawę opisów stanowią publikacje zawierające opis wyników badań archeologicznych, uzupełnione danymi architektonicznymi i historycznymi. Na podstawie katalogu autor przedstawia wnioski dotyczące zespołów bramnych oraz proponuje ich kategoryzację.

The aim of this paper is to list and discuss archaeologically recognised gate complexes and their architecture within the high castles of the former Teutonic Order state. The author describes the defensive structures used to secure access to the castle courtyard and introduces the concept of a gate complex. The main part of the thesis is a catalogue in which 22 castles and their gate complexes are described. The descriptions are based on publications describing the results of archaeological research, supplemented by architectural and historical data. On the basis of the catalogue, the author presents conclusions about the gate complexes and proposes their classification.
