Szczególną uwagę autor poświęca kategorii obietnicy, centralnej roli metra, utrwaleniu Ursynowa w kulturze popularnej oraz sposobom, w jakie przedstawiane jest budownictwo. W trzech rozdziałach omówiono kolejno: wizje i recepcje dzielnicy w PRL, zmiany postrzegania dzielnicy na przełomie wieków oraz współczesne narracje nostalgiczne i pamięciowe. Autor rozważa założenia obietnicy idealnego osiedla oraz dyskursy na temat poziomu jej realizacji. The thesis analyzes narratives about Ursynów between 1975 and 2025, showing how the perception of this district of Warsaw has changed since its inception. The author devotes particular attention to the concept of promise, the central role of the metro, the representation of Ursynów in popular culture, and the ways in which its housing architecture is portrayed. Three chapters discuss visions and receptions of the district during the Polish People's Republic, changes in the perception of the district at the turn of the century, and contemporary narratives of nostalgia and collective memory. The author considers the assumptions of the promise of an ideal neighborhood and the discourses on its implementation. The work examines Ursynów as a space dynamically shaped by urban planning decisions, residents' experiences, and cultural discourses.
