Using selected online tools in supporting thematic group projects for 7th and 8th graders

Głównym zagadnieniem pracy jest wykorzystanie aplikacji online do wspierania grupowej pracy projektowej. Zarządzanie pracą projektową może sprawiać problemy nie tylko nauczycielom ale też uczniom. Materiały zaprezentowane w tej pracy pozwolą przeprowadzić ustrukturyzowaną lekcję w trakcie której uczniowie będą rozwijać poprzez pracę grupową i projektową podstawowe cztery sprawności językowe, mediację i zdolności manualne. Rozdział pierwszy skupia się na teoretycznych zagadnieniach, takich jak rozwój poznawczy, emocjonalny i społeczny, poziom języka angielskiego, metodę pracy opartej o zadania oraz wybrane narzędzia online. W rozdziale drugim opisany został zestaw materiałów, stworzonych na potrzeby tej pracy, zawierający pomoce edukacyjne możliwe do wydrukowania oraz zastosowania z wykorzystaniem tablic interaktywnych.

The central problem addressed in this thesis is the implementation of online tools in supporting thematic group projects. This thesis aims to assist the teachers and students through lessons based on the task-based language teaching approach. Coordinating projects can be difficult for teachers and students. The materials presented in this thesis will allow teachers to create a structured lesson during which students learn through group work and project work, language items, cooperation, and practice listening, writing, speaking, reading, mediation, and manual skills. Chapter 1 discusses such theoretical issues as characteristics of learners, their cognitive, social, and emotional development, their level of English, a framework for the task-based language teaching approach, and selected online tools. Chapter 2 presents a description of a resource pack that contains materials that can be used to conduct a lesson around a thematic project. It includes online materials and activities for grammar and vocabulary relevant to a project, instructions, and materials for printing and use on interactive whiteboards.
