Niniejsza praca dotyczy obrazu miasta przedstawionego w poezji Charles'a Baudelaire'a, Camilla Sbarbaro oraz Milo De Angelisa. Tematem analizy jest stosunek poetów do rzeczywistości miejskiej i sposób, w jaki prezentują ją w swoich wierszach. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym rozdziale prezentowane są sylwetki poetów wraz z opisem miast, do których odwołują się w swoich utworach. Rozdział ten ma na celu ułatwienie zrozumienia kontekstu historycznego oraz osobistych doświadczeń poetów w relacji z miastem. Przedmiotem rozważań rozdziału drugiego są zmiany w poezji nowoczesnej, które zachodzą wraz z procesem industrializacji oraz rozwojem technologii, a także analiza relacji poetów z miastem w kontekście tych zmian. W kolejnej części pracy opisana jest preferencja poetów do atmosfery niepokoju oraz ich zainteresowanie brzydotą. Analizie zostaje poddany motyw spacerów ulicami miasta, podczas których poeci nie tylko przyglądają się otoczeniu, ale kontemplują siebie samych w miejskiej rzeczywistości.

This thesis examines the image of the city as depicted in the poetry of Charles Baudelaire, Camillo Sbarbaro and Milo De Angelis. The subject of the analysis is the poets' attitude to urban reality and the way they present it in their poems. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter presents profiles of the poets along with a description of the cities they refer to in their works. This chapter aims to facilitate an understanding of the historical context and the poets' personal experiences of their relationship with the city. The subject of chapter two are the changes in modern poetry that occur with the process of industrialisation and the development of technology, and the analysis of the poets' relationship with the city in the context of these changes. The next section of the work describes the poets' preference for an atmosphere of unease and their interest in ugliness. The motif of walking along the city streets is analyzed, with focus on poets not only looking at their surroundings, but also contemplating themselves in urban reality.

Questa tesi esamina l'immagine della città rappresentata nelle poesie di Charles Baudelaire, Camillo Sbarbaro e Milo De Angelis. L’analisi si concentra sull'atteggiamento dei poeti nei confronti della realtà urbana e sul modo in cui la rappresentano nelle loro poesie. Il lavoro è composto da tre capitoli. Il primo capitolo presenta le figure dei poeti e una descrizione delle città a cui fanno riferimento nelle loro opere. L’obiettivo di questo capitolo è facilitare la comprensione del contesto storico e delle esperienze personali dei poeti nel loro rapporto con la città. Il secondo capitolo tratta dei cambiamenti nella poesia moderna, che avvengono nel contesto del processo di industrializzazione e dello sviluppo tecnologico, e analizza il rapporto dei poeti con la città in relazione a questi cambiamenti. La sezione successiva descrive la preferenza dei poeti per un'atmosfera di inquietudine e il loro interesse per il tema del brutto. Nel terzo capitolo viene inoltre analizzato il motivo delle passeggiate per le strade della città, durante le quali i poeti non solo osservano l'ambiente circostante, ma contemplano se stessi nella realtà urbana.
