Poezja i poeci między krytyką a historią literatury. Uwagi po lekturze kilku recenzji Stanisława Tarnowskiego

The subject of the article involves several reviews by Stanislaw Tarnowski published in the 1880s in “Przegląd Polski”, devoted to the works on Adam Mickiewicz. The critic’s reviews were placed in the context of his famous assessment of Antoni Małecki’s book on Juliusz Słowacki. Critical strategies and evaluation criteria used by Tarnowski have been evaluated. A correlation between methodological and ideological distance of the critic regarding the analytical papers under discussion and his use of the estrangement in relation to their authors.
