Tematem pracy jest obraz katastrofy w Czarnobylu przedstawiony w serialu produkcji amerykańsko-brytyjskiej Czarnobyl (2019) oraz w filmie produkcji rosyjskiej Czarnobyl 1986 (2021). Analiza utworów ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zarówno naukowych faktów, wspomnień świadków, jak i koncepcji artystycznej pozwoliła scharakteryzować ich wspólne cechy i najważniejsze różnice.

The subject of the work is the image of the Chernobyl disaster presented in the American-British series Chernobyl (2019) and in the Russian film Chernobyl Abyss (2021). Analysis of the works with particular emphasis on both scientific facts, witnesses' memories, and artistic concept allowed to characterize their common features and the most important differences.
