Co robić? - O stosunkach polsko-ukraińskich

W prezentowanym artykule autor omawia obecną sytuację w stosunkach polsko-ukraińskich oraz jej historyczne i polityczne przyczyny. Zwraca uwagę przede wszystkim na uwarunkowania geopolityczne, które miały swoje korzenie jeszcze w czasach Rzeczpospolitej Obojga Narodów, a także skomplikowaną przeszłość, wynikającą z dążeń niepodległościowych obu narodów. Znaczna część rozważań poświęcona jest także odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób poprawić bieżące relacje między Polską i Ukrainą w czasach, gdy coraz pilniejsze wydaje się rozliczenie zbrodni popełnionych w czasie II wojny światowej oraz prowadzenie szczerej i wzajemnie rozumianej polityki historycznej.

in the presented article, the author discusses the current situation in Polish-Ukrainian relations and its historical and political reasons. he draws attention, above all, to the geopolitical conditions which still had their roots in the times of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, as well as to the complicated past, resulting from the independence aspirations of both nations. A significant part of the considerations is also devoted to answering the question of how to improve current relations between Poland and Ukraine at a time when it seems increasingly urgent to account for the crimes committed during the Second World War and to pursue a sincere and mutually understood historical policy.
