Wspierający i leczniczy potencjał filmów Studia Disneya: Analiza procesu przemiany bohatera w kontekście filmoterapeutycznym na wybranych przykładach

Praca licencjacka “Wspierający i leczniczy potencjał filmów Studia Disneya: Analiza procesu przemiany bohatera w kontekście filmoterapeutycznym na wybranych przykładach” poświęcona jest tematowi wykorzystywania filmów animowanych Studia Walta Disneya w procesie wspierania rozwoju dzieci i młodzieży poprzez użycie filmoterapii. Fundament stanowi koncepcja wychowania przez sztukę oraz wychowania estetycznego i zastosowanie filmu jako narzędzia wspomagającego. Główną tezą pracy jest stwierdzenie, że filmy Disneya, zawierają potencjał filmoterapeutyczny, ze względu na podejmowane tematy oraz sposób ich opracowania. Do jego zbadania posłużyłam się analizą treści dwóch filmów Mój brat niedźwiedź (Brother Bear, 2003 reż. Aaron Blaise, Robert Walker) oraz Planeta skarbów (Treasure Planet, 2002 reż. John Musker, Ron Clements). Odwołując się do schematu wyprawy bohatera, ukazałam przedstawiony w nich proces przemiany wewnętrznej bohaterów oraz leczenia wcześniej doznanych traum, tj. śmierci bliskiej osoby oraz porzucenia. Analizy bazowały na postaciach bohaterów, fabułach, ale również elementach stylistycznych (strona wizualna oraz muzyka).

The BA thesis „The Supportive and Healing Potential of the Walt Disney Studios’ Films: Analysis of the Hero’s Transformation Process in the Context of Cinematherapy on Selected Example” is devoted to the use of the Walt Disney Studios’ animated films in the process of supporting the development of children and adolescents through cinema therapy. The concept of education through art and aesthetic education are foundational for the thesis and the possibility of using film as a supporting tool. The main thesis of the BA work is that the Disney films contain therapeutic potential due to the topics they cover and the way they are developed. To examine it, I use content analysis of two films: Brother Bear (2003, dir. Aaron Blaise, Robert Walker) and Treasure Planet (2002, dir. John Musker, Ron Clements). Referring to the hero's journey scheme, I show the process of the characters’ internal transformation and healing of previously experienced traumas, i.e. the death of a loved one and abandonment respectively. The analyzes were based on characters, plots, but also stylistic elements (visuals and music).
