Visibility, Loyalty, Enrichment. Perypetie Alicji na Czarytorium Revisited

This chapter analyses the 2015 Polish rendition of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland entitled Perypetie Alicji na Czarytorium (translated by Grzegorz Wasowski) in relation to the previous Polish translations of this classic, examining the translator's unusual visibility, creativity and provocatively overt manipulation of the target text from the perspective of the Skopos theory of translation and the related notion of 'loyalty', claiming that his approach enriches the target culture system.
