Tematem pracy jest wpływ technologii ekranowych na dzieci i dzieciństwo. Rozwój nowoczesnych technologii oraz powszechna dostępność urządzeń elektronicznych sprawiają, że dzieci od najmłodszych lat mają kontakt z ekranami smartfonów, tabletów, komputerów, czy telewizorów, a co za tym idzie, z treściami dostępnymi za pomocą wspomnianych urządzeń. Zjawisko to nasiliło się w ciągu ostatniej dekady i, z tego powodu, coraz częściej stanowi przedmiot zainteresowania badaczy, pedagogów oraz rodziców. Współczesne dzieci dorastają w świecie silnie nasyconym technologią i mediami cyfrowymi, dlatego istotne jest poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytanie w jaki sposób technologie ekranowe kształtują ich codzienne doświadczenia, życie społeczne, edukację oraz jak wpływają na zdrowie fizyczne i psychiczne, relacje społeczne oraz przebieg dzieciństwa. Analiza tego zagadnienia może przyczynić się do lepszego zrozumienia zarówno korzyści, jak i zagrożeń związanych z korzystaniem z urządzeń ekranowych, a także pomóc w wypracowaniu odpowiednich zasad i rekomendacji dotyczących ich używania przez najmłodszych. Celem pracy jest omówienie wpływu technologii ekranowych na dzieci i dzieciństwo. Struktura pracy składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym opisano dzieciństwo w przestrzeni medialnej. W rozdziale drugim skupiono się na psychospołecznych aspektach oddziaływania technologii ekranowych na rozwój dziecka. W rozdziale trzecim przeanalizowano skutki oraz konsekwencje kulturowe i egzystencjalne.

The subject of this thesis is the impact of screen technologies on children and childhood. The development of modern technologies and the widespread availability of electronic devices mean that from a very early age, children come into contact with the screens of smartphones, tablets, computers, or television and consequently, with the content accessible through them. This phenomenon has intensified over the past decade adn, as a result, has increasingly become a subject of interest for researchers, educators, and parents. Contemporary children grow up in a world heavily saturated with technology and digital media, therefore, it is crucial to seek answers how screen technologies shape their daily experiences, social life and education, as well as how they affect their physical and mental health, social relationships, and the cours of childhood itself. Analyzing this issue can contribute to a better understanding of both the benefits and risks associated with the use of screen devices, and can also help develop appropriate guidelines and recommendations for their use by youngest. The aim of this thesis is to discuss the impact of screen technologies on children and childhood. The structure of the work consists of three chapters. The first chapter describes childhood in the media space. The second one focuses on the psychosocial aspects of the impact of screen technologies on child development. The third chapter analyzes the cultural and existential effects and consequences.
