Rozwiązania prawne dekolonizacji Imperium Brytyjskiego w XX wieku i ich związek ze stosunkami byłych kolonii z Wielką Brytanią na przykładach Republiki Ghany i Republiki Irlandii

Dekolonizacja Imperium Brytyjskiego stanowiła jedno z kluczowych wydarzeń XX wieku. Jej przebieg i konsekwencje wpłynęły na współczesne stosunki międzynarodowe, oraz sytuację wewnętrzną w wielu państwach i życie milionów ludzi na całym świecie. Niniejsza praca analizuje akty prawne wykorzystane w procesach dekolonizacyjnych Republiki Irlandii i Republiki Ghany oraz ukazuje powiązania między treścią tych aktów a postkolonialnymi relacjami owych państw z Wielką Brytanią. Głównym celem badania jest ocena, w jakim stopniu charakter owych aktów i zawartych w nich regulacji prawnych determinowały kierunki, jakość i przebieg stosunków bilateralnych po dekolonizacji w obu wybranych przypadkach. W pracy uwzględniono także perspektywę porównawczą uzyskania niepodległości przez Republikę Irlandii i Republikę Ghany.

The decolonization of the British Empire constituted one of the key events of the twentieth century. Its course and consequences influenced current international relations, as well as internal affairs of numerous states, and the lives of millions of people all over the world. The paper analyses legal acts used in the decolonization process of the Republic of Ireland and the Republic of Ghana and finds links between the contents of said acts and post-colonial relations between those countries and the United Kingdom. The main aim of the paper is to assess the extent in which the character of said acts and their contents determined the directions, quality and development of bilateral relations following the decolonization in both selected cases. The paper also includes a comparative perspective on the processes through which the Republic of Ireland and the Republic of Ghana gained independence.
