Poland: The Polarised Model of Media Accountability

Political turns in 2015 in Poland have resulted in growing societal and political polarization. Both high levels of political parallelism and sharp divisions between various journalistic communities inherited from the pre-democratic era have now become even stronger. The weakness of media accountability has recently contributed to the rise of a polarized model of media accountability that is typified by the multiplication of journalistic codes and ethics alongside the power struggles between the media tribes, all of which claim to be the sole portrayers of the truth.
