Narrativas testemunhais como conteúdo formativo na educação para o “Nunca mais”: a experiência de Sílvia Montarroyos com a ditadura civil-militar (1964-1985)

More than fifty years after the 1964 coup, part of Brazilian society still regards authoritarianism as the outcome of a necessary democratic revolution. In the face of narratives that silence the pain of survivors and the families of the disappeared, this study turns to the testimony of Sílvia Montarroyos, a survivor of political persecution and psychiatric confinement during the civil-military dictatorship, to reveal the horrors of authoritarian rule. The aim is to analyze how Montarroyos’ testimonial narrative contributes to the preservation of historical memory, not only exposing traumas but also offering a poetic perspective for discussing authoritarianism and the relations between the past and the present.

Mais de 50 anos após o golpe de 1964, parte da sociedade brasileira ainda considera o autoritarismo como resultado de uma revolução democrática necessária. Frente a narrativas que silenciam as dores de sobreviventes e familiares de desaparecidos, este estudo recorre ao testemunho de Sílvia Montarroyos, sobrevivente de perseguição política e internamento manicomial durante a ditadura civil-militar, para revelar os horrores da ditadura civil-militar. A intenção é analisar como a narrativa testemunhal de Sílvia Montarroyos contribui para a preservação da memória histórica, não apenas expondo traumas, mas também apresentando uma perspectiva poética para discutir autoritarismo e as relações entre passado e presente.
