L’imaginaire de la musique dans les écrits choisis de George Sand

Niniejsza praca analizuje przedstawienie muzyki w wybranych dziełach francuskiej powieściopisarki George Sand. Fragmenty pism autobiograficznych i powieści Consuelo zostały omówione pod kątem środków zastosowanych przez autorkę w celu przekazania doświadczenia słuchania muzyki poprzez tekst literacki. Analiza imaginarium muzycznego w utworach George Sand pozwala ukazać właściwości przypisywane sztuce dźwięków przez romantyków oraz znaczenie teorii syntezy sztuk.

The present work analyzes the presentation of music in the chosen works of the French novelist George Sand. Fragments from her autobiographical writings and the novel Consuelo have been studied to explore the methods the writer employs to convey her listening experience through the text. Examining Sand’s musical imagination allows us to demonstrate the powers attributed to the art of sound by the Romantics and the importance of the concept of the synthesis of the arts.

Le présent travail analyse la présentation de la musique dans les œuvres choisies de la romancière française George Sand. Les fragments des écrits autobiographiques et du roman Consuelo ont été étudiés en fonction des moyens mis en œuvre par l’écrivaine pour transmettre son expérience de l’écoute musicale à travers le texte. L’examen de l’imaginaire musical chez Sand permet de démontrer les pouvoirs attribués à l’art des sons par les romantiques et l’importance du concept de la synthèse des arts.
