Część teoretyczna pracy poświęcona jest obecnym w myśli Slavoja Žižka zagadnieniom takim jak miłość polityczna, agape, miłości romantyczna, eros, nadziei i powiązanej z nią beznadziei, oraz ślepej wiary, a także wydarzenia w rozumieniu Alaina Badiou. Pojawią się także ważne dla myśli Waltera Benjamina koncepty pociągu historii i widma rewolucji. Analiza koncentrować się będzie na wykazaniu obecności wymienionych konceptów w grze komputerowej Disco Elysium i zachodzących między nimi powiązań, w celu odpowiedzenia na tytułowe pytanie, czy w świecie gry jest nadzieja, rozumiana jako możliwość pojawienia się systemowej alternatywy.

The theoretical part of the work is devoted to issues present in Slavoj Žižek's thought, such as political love, agape, romantic love, eros, hope and related hopelessness, and blind faith, as well as events as understood by Alain Badiou. There will also be concepts of the train of history and the specter of revolution, which are important for Walter Benjamin's thought. The analysis will focus on demonstrating the presence of the above-mentioned concepts in the computer game Disco Elysium and the connections between them, in order to answer the title question of whether there is hope in the game world, understood as the possibility of a systemic alternative.
