Inteligentne miasta w Japonii - analiza wybranych projektów rozwoju regionalnego

W pracy omówiono zagadnienie inteligentnych miast (ang. smart city, jap. sumāto shiti) jako nowej formy projektów rozwoju regionalnego w oparciu o użycie nowoczesnych technologii na gruncie japońskim. Autor przedstawia sięgającą do technopolii genezę idei, jej różne definicje, koncepcje, metody pomiaru „inteligencji” oraz politykę i inicjatywy rządowe w Japonii. Analiza dwóch projektów, tj. Yokohama Smart City Project i Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City obrazuje ewolucję rozumienia zagadnienia na przestrzeni lat oraz pokazuje, że inteligentne miasta mogą stanowić odpowiedź na bieżące problemy Japonii oraz innych krajów świata.

This thesis discusses the concept of smart cities (Jap. sumāto shiti) as a new form of regional development projects based on the use of modern technologies in Japan. The author presents the origins of the idea, which reaches back to technopolis, its various definitions, concepts, intelligence measurement methods, and government policies and initiatives in Japan. An analysis of two projects, the Yokohama Smart City Project and the Kashiwa-no-ha Smart City, illustrates the evolution of how the concept has been understood over the years and demonstrates that smart cities can provide a solution to the current problems in Japan and other countries.
