Między adaptacją a wiernością oryginałowi : wyzwania przekładu melicznego w dubbingu francuskim serialu Hazbin Hotel wobec różnorodności odmian języka francuskiego

Niniejsza praca podejmuje analizę tłumaczenia wybranych piosenek z serialu Hazbin Hotel i na ich przykładzie bada stopień wierności oryginałowi oraz wpływ rozwiązań translatorskich na odbiór produkcji. Badanie osadzono w ramach teoretycznych przekładu melicznego w kontekście tłumaczenia audiowizualnego oraz intersemiotyczności, co pozwala uwzględnić zarówno relację tekst-muzyka, jak i relacje między warstwą słowną, wizualną i dźwiękową. Do porównania z angielskim tekstem źródłowym wybrano dwie wersje francuskojęzyczne: francuski standardowy oraz odmianę québecką, co umożliwiło dodatkowo analizę wpływ różnic socjolingwistycznych i kulturowych na kształt przekładu. Badanie zostało przeprowadzone metodą jakościowo-komparatystyczną. Wyniki analizy wskazują, że wersja québecka pozostaje znacząco bliższa oryginałowi, zarówno pod względem treści jak i funkcji, a także lepiej oddaje humor intersemiotyczny, który w dużej mierze opiera się na synchronizacji elementów dźwiękowych, wizualnych i językowych.

This thesis analyzes the translation of selected songs from the TV series Hazbin Hotel and, through their examination, investigates the degree of fidelity to the original as well as the impact of translation choices on the reception of the production. The study is grounded in the theoretical frameworks of singable translation within the context of audiovisual translation and intersemioticity, allowing for the consideration of both the text–music relationship and the interactions between the verbal, visual, and auditory layers. For comparison with the English source text, two French-language versions were selected: Standard French and Québécois French. This additionally enabled an analysis of the influence of sociolinguistic and cultural differences on the form of the translation. The research was conducted using a qualitative-comparative methodology. The findings indicate that the Québécois version remains significantly closer to the original, both in terms of content and function, and more effectively conveys intersemiotic humor, which largely relies on the synchronization of auditory, visual, and linguistic elements.
