Das Pferd als Symbol in der vormodernen Literatur am Beispiel des Codex Manesse

Praca magisterska pod tytułem ,,Koń jako symbol w niemieckiej literaturze przed modernistycznej na przykładzie Codex Manesse” zajmuje się badaniem wartości, symbolizmu i znaczenia konia w średniowiecznych zabytkach literackich oraz kulturowych. Praca składa się z sześciu głównych rozdziałów podzielonych na liczne podrozdziały. Pierwsza część pracy to wprowadzenie, w którym zaprezentowana jest zmienność symboliki konia od czasów starożytnych, przez przewrót renesansowy aż do mistycznej zoologii poruszanej w dziełach XX wieku. Następną część stanowią metodologia i pojęcia kluczowe, które wykorzystywane są w pracy. W tej części określone są cel pracy, hipoteza i metoda badawcza. Kolejno wyjaśnione są pojęcia związane z wyposażeniem jeździeckim konia oraz terminy niematerialne takie jak symbol czy hiperfizyka. Część poświęcona analizie składa się z czterech głównych punktów. W sposób chronologiczny przedstawiona jest eksploracja znaczenia i symbolu konia w oparciu o mitologię, biblię, oraz wierzenia ludów pogańskich. W kolejnych punktach przedstawione są rycerstwo, koń jako symbol statusu, relacja konia i jeźdźca oraz kwestia turniejów rycerskich. Następny podrozdział skoncentrowany jest na badaniu relacyjności trubadurów, minnesingerów oraz bohaterów eposów rycerskich. Ostatni rozdział sekcji analitycznej poświęcony został Kodeksowi Manesse, który stanowi największy średniowieczny zbiór dzieł literackich tamtego okresu. Pracę wieńczą podsumowanie, bibliografia oraz załączniki z rycinami, obrazami i ikonami, będącymi elementem analizy w głównej części pracy.

The master's thesis entitled, ,,The Horse as a Symbol in Pre-Modernist German Literature on the Example of the Codex Manesse'' deals with the study of the value, symbolism and meaning of the horse in pre-modern literary and culture. The work consists of six main chapters divided into numerous subsections. The first part of the work is an introduction, which presents the variation in the symbolism of the horse from ancient times, through the upheaval of the Renaissance to the mystical zoology addressed in works of the 20th century. The next part is the methodology and key concepts used in the work. In this section, the purpose of the work, the hypothesis and the research method are defined. Subsequently, concepts related to the equestrian equipment of the horse and non-material terms such as symbol or hyperphysics are explained. The analysis section consists of four main points. An exploration of the meaning and symbol of the horse based on mythology, the Bible, and the beliefs of the heathen peoples is presented chronologically. The following sections present chivalry, the horse as a status symbol, the relationship between horse and rider, and the issue of knightly tournaments. The next subsection focuses on the study of the relativity of troubadours, minnesingers, and heroes of chivalric epics. The final chapter of the analytical section is devoted to the Codex Manesse, which is the largest medieval collection of literary works of the period. The work is crowned with a summary, bibliography and appendices with engravings, paintings, and icons, which are part of the analysis in the main part of the work.

Die Diplomarbeit unter dem Titel ,,Das Pferd als Symbol in der vormodernen deutschen Literatur am Beispiel des Codex Manesse beschäftigt sich mit der Untersuchung von Wert, Symbolik und Bedeutung des Pferdes in mittelalterlichen Literatur- und Kulturdenkmälern. Die Arbeit besteht aus sechs Hauptkapiteln, die in zahlreiche Unterkapitel unterteilt sind. Der erste Teil des Werkes ist die Einleitung, in der die Variation der Symbolik des Pferdes von der Antike über die Umwälzungen der Renaissance bis hin zur mystischen Zoologie in den Werken des 20. Der nächste Abschnitt befasst sich mit der Methodik und den Schlüsselbegriffen, die in dieser Arbeit verwendet werden. In diesem Abschnitt werden das Ziel der Arbeit, die Hypothese und die Forschungsmethode definiert. Anschließend werden Begriffe im Zusammenhang mit der reiterlichen Ausstattung des Pferdes und nicht-materielle Begriffe wie Symbol oder Hyperphysik erläutert. Der Analyseteil besteht aus vier Hauptpunkten. Eine Untersuchung der Bedeutung und des Symbols des Pferdes auf der Grundlage der Mythologie, der Bibel und des Glaubens der heidnischen Völker wird chronologisch dargestellt. Die folgenden Abschnitte befassen sich mit dem Rittertum, dem Pferd als Statussymbol, der Beziehung zwischen Pferd und Reiter und dem Thema der ritterlichen Turniere. Das nächste Unterkapitel widmet sich der Untersuchung der Relationalität von Troubadouren, Minnesängern und den Helden der Ritterepen. Das letzte Kapitel des analytischen Teils ist dem Codex Manesse gewidmet, der die größte mittelalterliche Sammlung literarischer Werke jener Zeit darstellt. Das Werk schließt mit einer Zusammenfassung, einer Bibliographie und Anhängen mit Stichen, Gemälden und Ikonen, die Teil der Analyse im Hauptteil des Werks sind.
