Die Entwicklung der deutschen und polnischen Jungendsprache auf der Basis der Ergebnisse von Wettbewerben „Jugendwort des Jahres“ und „Młodzieżowe Słowo Roku“ im Zeitraum 2016-2021

Tematem niniejszej pracy jest analiza języka młodzieży zarówno w Niemczech, jak i w Polsce w świetle wyników konkursów „Jugendwort des Jahres” i „Młodzieżowe Słowo Roku” w latach 2016-2021. Rozdział pierwszy omawia język młodzieży w ujęciu diachronicznym. Przedstawia on rozwój badań w tej dziedzinie na przestrzeni lat, a także wskazuje na różnice i podobieństwa w podejściu do tego tematu niegdyś i dziś. Rozdział drugi skupia się na przedstawieniu historii oraz zasad polskiego i niemieckiego plebiscytu na młodzieżowe słowo roku. Porusza on także temat kontrowersji, które narosły wokół obu konkursów na przestrzeni lat i wskazuje na wpływ opisanych zarzutów na wiarygodność wyników. W kolejnym rozdziale przeanalizowane zostały dane zebrane w empirycznej części pracy – banku najpopularniejszych młodzieżowych słów roku w Niemczech i w Polsce w latach 2016-2021. Na tej podstawie wskazano na tendencje w rozwoju języka młodzieży i porównano ich kierunek w obu państwach. Ponadto wyłoniono główne źródła językowych inspiracji dla młodych ludzi. Ostatni rozdział stanowi opis struktury empirycznej części pracy – użytych w niej źródeł, jak i kryteriów doboru danych.

The subject of this paper is the analysis of the youth language in Germany and in Poland in light of the results of the competitions “Jugendwort des Jahres” and “Młodzieżowe Słowo Roku” in 2016-2021. The first chapter discusses the language of youth in diachronic terms. It presents the development of research in this field over the years and also points out the differences and similarities in the approach to this topic before and today. The second chapter focuses on presenting the history and rules of the Polish and German plebiscite for the youth word of the year. It also touches on the controversies that have grown up around the two contests over the years and points out the impact of the allegations described on the credibility of the results. The next chapter analyzes the data collected in the empirical part of the work - a bank of the most popular youth words of the year in Germany and Poland in 2016-2021. On this basis, trends in the development of youth language are indicated and their direction in both countries is compared. In addition, the main sources of linguistic inspiration for young people were identified. The last chapter is a description of the structure of the empirical part of the work - the sources used in it as well as the criteria for the selection of data.

Das Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Analyse der Jugendsprache in Deutschland sowie in Polen vor dem Hintergrund der Ergebnisse der Wettbewerbe „Jugendwort des Jahres“ und „Młodzieżowe Słowo Roku“ von 2016 bis 2021. Das erste Kapitel behandelt die Jugendsprache aus diachroner Perspektive. Es stellt die Entwicklung der Forschung in diesem Bereich im Laufe der Jahre dar und zeigt auch Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten in der Herangehensweise an dieses Thema früher und heute auf. Das zweite Kapitel konzentriert sich auf die Darstellung der Geschichte und der Regeln der polnischen und deutschen Wahl zum Jugendwort des Jahres. Es geht auch auf die Kontroversen ein, die beide Wettbewerbe im Laufe der Jahre begleiteten, und zeigt auf, wie sich die beschriebenen Vorwürfe auf die Glaubwürdigkeit der Ergebnisse auswirken. Das nächste Kapitel analysiert die im empirischen Teil der Arbeit gesammelten Daten - eine Datenbank der beliebtesten Jugendwörter des Jahres in Deutschland und Polen zwischen 2016 und 2021. Auf dieser Grundlage werden Trends in der Entwicklung der Jugendsprache aufgezeigt und deren Richtung in beiden Ländern verglichen. Darüber hinaus wurden die wichtigsten sprachlichen Inspirationsquellen für junge Menschen identifiziert. Das letzte Kapitel beschreibt den Aufbau des empirischen Teils der Studie - die verwendeten Quellen sowie die Kriterien für die Datenauswahl.
