Tematem pracy jest rola i funkcje Młodzieżowej Rady m.st. Warszawy w perspektywie porównawczej. Praca dotyczy istoty młodzieżowych rad, poziomu realizowania funkcji i zadań przez Młodzieżową Radę m.st. Warszawy na podstawie dokonanej analizy i oceny podejmowanych przez nią działań w latach 2018-2023 oraz porównania poziomu realizowania jej funkcji i zadań z innymi młodzieżowymi radami. The topic of the thesis is the role and functions of the Youth Council of the capital city of Warsaw in a comparative perspective. The thesis addresses the essence of youth councils, the extent to which the functions and tasks are fulfilled by the Youth Council of the capital city of Warsaw based on an analysis and evaluation of its activities from 2018 to 2023, and compares the level of its functions and tasks fulfilment with other youth councils. The first theoretical chapter presents the importance of consultative and advisory bodies and explains the concept of a youth council, the legal foundations of their operations and the goals, functions, and tasks that they perform. The second chapter analyzes and evaluates the activities of the Youth Council of the capital city of Warsaw from 2018 to 2023, and compares the obtained results with research findings concerning other youth councils. It also highlights the future development prospects of the Council. The research material consisted of posts published on the official profile of the Youth Council of the capital city of Warsaw on the Facebook platform. The thesis concludes by indicating that the research hypothesis was partially confirmed based on the analysis of the research material. The results of the thesis suggest that the Youth Council of the capital city of Warsaw does not sufficiently fulfil its role and functions, but this situation is influenced by significantly more factors, both legal and factual, than initially assumed.
