Niepokorna Czajka – postawa autorska dwudziestowiecznej celebrytki w świetle powieści autobiograficznej „Ocalił mnie kowal” Izabeli Czajki-Stachowicz

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza autobiograficznej powieści Izabeli Czajki-Stachowicz Ocalił mnie kowal pod kątem prezentowanej przez nią autorskiej postawy. Całość została poprzedzona zarysem biografii pisarki i omówieniem stanu badań nad omawianym gatunkiem na gruncie polskiej literatury. Zasadniczą część rozprawy stanowi szczegółowa analiza utworu wraz ze zidentyfikowaniem wątków powtarzających się w dwóch innych publikacjach autorki – Córka czarownicy na huśtawce oraz Nigdy nie wyjdę za mąż. Wyodrębniono w niej elementy stosowane przez Czajkę-Stachowicz w celu wykreowania pożądanej wizji własnej osoby w oczach odbiorcy. Następnie treść fabuły została zestawiona z informacjami pochodzącymi z innych źródeł, co pozwoliło określić momenty, w których relacja pisarki zawiera nieścisłości i zastanowić się nad potencjalnymi korzyściami zastosowania takiej metody. To wszystko pozwoliło na ustalenie, w jakim stopniu Izabela Czajka-Stachowicz konsekwentnie i świadomie budowała swoją legendę.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse Izabela Czajka-Stachowicz's autobiographical novel ‘Ocalił mnie kowal’ in terms of the author's attitude presented in it. The whole is preceded by an outline of the writer's biography and a discussion of the state of research on the genre in question in Polish literature. The main part of the dissertation consists of a detailed analysis of the work, identifying themes that recur in two other publications by the author: ‘Córka czarownicy na huśtawce’ and ‘Nigdy nie wyjdę za mąż’. The elements used by Czajka-Stachowicz to create the desired image of herself in the eyes of the reader are identified. The content of the plot was then compared with information from other sources, which made it possible to identify moments in which the writer's account contains inaccuracies and to consider the potential benefits of using such a method. All this made it possible to determine the extent to which Izabela Czajka-Stachowicz consistently and consciously built her legend.
