Niniejsza praca jest analizą filmu Zabij to i wyjedź z tego miasta Mariusza Wilczyńskiego jako animacji autobiograficznej, tematyzującej sposoby działania pamięci. Rozważania skupiają się na najważniejszych elementach związanych ze światem przedstawionym: na mieście Łodzi, postaci matki, powtarzających się hasłach unikaj” i wracaj” oraz finałowej Modlitwie” odmawianej pośród morza. Celem pracy jest wykorzystanie literatury teoretycznej do rozłożenia dzieła na części składowe i ukazania w jaki sposób autor przekształca uczucia towarzyszące mu po stracie bliskich w studium żałoby i jak wykorzystuje nawiedzające jego pamięć widma przeszłości.

This work is an analysis of the film Kill it and leave this town by Mariusz Wilczyński as an autobiographical animation that explores ways in which memory works. Thesis focuses on the most important elements related to the world presented: the city of Łódź, the figure of the mother, the recurring slogans avoid and come back, and the final Modlitwa recited in the midst of the sea. The aim of the work is to use theoretical literature to dissect the work into its component parts and show how the author transforms the feelings accompanying the loss of loved ones into a study of mourning and how he uses the ghosts of the past that haunt his memory.
