Portret pokolenia. Opis bliskiego otoczenia analogowymi fotografiami studyjnymi

Celem pracy jest stworzenie obrazu oraz swojego rodzaju zapisu obecnego młodego pokolenia czarno-białymi studyjnymi portretami osób z bliskiego otoczenia. W pracy przybliżono terminy pokolenia, młodości i młodego pokolenia. Przez wzgląd na przynależność wszystkich fotografowanych do pokolenia Z, skupiono się przede wszystkim na jego specyfice, określając ramy czasowe, podkreślając cechy dla niego charakterystyczne, kwestie tożsamościowe z nim związane oraz problemy jego dotyczące. W dalszej części pracy przyjrzano się historii i ewolucji fotografii portretowej oraz twórczości jej pionierów. Następnie wyróżniono autorów i cykle fotograficzne podejmujące tematy pokolenia, społeczeństwa, młodości i tożsamości posługując się gatunkiem, jakim jest portret. Na ich przykładzie poruszono kwestie roli fotografii portretowej. W ostatniej części opisano proces powstawania pracy włącznie z jej zamierzeniami i osiągnięciami. Fotografie zostały wykonane techniką analogową. Podjęta została również praca w ciemni nad własnoręcznym wykonaniem odbitek.

The aim of this work is to create an image and a kind of record of the current young generation through black-and-white studio portraits of people from the close surroundings. The work explores the concepts of generation, youth, and the young generation. Given that all photographed individuals belong to Generation Z, the focus is primarily on its characteristics, defining its time frame, highlighting its distinctive features, identity-related issues, and the problems it faces. The following part of the work examines the history and evolution of portrait photography as well as the work of its pioneers. It then highlights artists and photographic series that address themes of generation, society, youth, and identity through the genre of portraiture. These examples are used to discuss the role of portrait photography. The final section describes the process of creating the project, including its intentions and achievements. The photographs were taken using analog techniques. Darkroom work was also undertaken to produce the prints by hand.
