Abstrakt (EN)
Summary Generally, though not quite rightly, it is believed, that Sobranije pripadkov (published in Suprasl in 1722) is the last print in the Old Belarusian language. This claim is still accepted today as a kind of axiom in the study of the Belarusian culture, literature and language. The detailed linguistic analysis of this text, as well as study of other editions from Suprasl typography, allows for verification of this thesis. On the one hand Sobranije pripadkov cannot be clearly recognized as Belarusian text, and on the other, we can find editions from Suprasl from the second half of the 18th century, written in a language close to modern Belarusian language. Above mentioned factors, suggest a thesis on the evolutionary nature of simple speech traditions, rather than replacing it with a new tradition.
