Niniejsza praca dowodzi, że programy koncertowe są nieodłącznym elementem wpływającym na odbiór koncertów muzyki klasycznej. This study shows that concert programmes are an integral element influencing the perception of classical music concerts. The example of the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s 2023 concert programmes demostrates that they serve not only an informational function but also educate the audience and engage them in the cultural life of the institution. Their structure and content reflect how tradition intertwines with modernity and how cultural institutions adapt to the needs of diverse audiences. LPO programmes are characterised by a consistent yet flexible structure that changes depending on the concert type and the target audience. They consist not only of purely informational elements but also usually include extensive programme notes and promotional materials. The variety of programmes illustrates the wide range of the orchestra’s activities – from traditional concerts to digital ones and those aimed at younger audiences. The language of the programmes combines specialised terminology with an accessible, often poetic style, in which metaphors play a key role. These facilitate the understanding of abstract musical concepts and the musical material, increasing the accessibility of classical music concerts to a broader audience.
