Praca jest teoretyczną refleksją nad istotą kultury indywidualizmu oraz tym, w jaki sposób oddziałuje ona na współczesną myśl społeczną. Założenia indywidualizmu zostały zestawione z charakterystyką chrześcijańskich pedagogii pomocy. W pracy przedstawiono propozycję rozumienia omawianych pedagogii na podstawie biblijnych norm dotyczących udzielania pomocy potrzebującym. Założenia chrześcijańskich pedagogii pomocy przedstawiono jako częściowo przeciwstawne do założeń kultury indywidualizmu i jej skutków dla życia społecznego.

The paper is a theoretical reflection on the essence of the culture of individualism and how it affects contemporary social thought. The assumptions of individualism are contrasted with the characteristics of Christian pedagogies of helping. The paper presents a proposal of understanding the pedagogies of helping on the basis of biblical norms for providing help to the needy. The assumptions of the Christian pedagogies of helping are presented as partially opposed to the assumptions of the culture of individualism and its effects on social life.
