Prezydent Włoch jako symbol jedności narodowej w okresie Drugiej Republiki

Problematyką pracy jest przedstawienie pozycji Prezydenta Republiki Włoskiej jako symbolu jedności narodowej w okresie Drugiej Republiki, koncentrując się przy tym na relacji tego podmiotu z głównymi organami władzy publicznej, a także na relacji z partiami politycznymi. Za pomocą ukazania statusu konstytucyjnego Prezydenta Republiki, a także poprzez analizę jego uprawnień, wynikających z ustawy zasadniczej, oraz relacji z wyżej wymienionymi podmiotami, wynikającymi z praktyki politycznej, przybliżona zostaje ustrojowa sylwetka głowy państwa. Poprzez pokazanie zaś przykładów z wybranych przeze mnie prezydentur z okresu Drugiej Republiki, hipoteza badawcza, dotycząca zmiany znaczenia roli Prezydenta Republiki jako symbolu jedności narodowej w okresie Drugiej Republiki, została przeze mnie potwierdzona.

The aim of this paper is to present the role of the President of the Italian Republic as a symbol of national unity during the Second Republic, focusing on his relations with the main bodies of public authority and with political parties. By presenting constitutional status of the President of the Republic, as well as by analising his powers guaranteed by Constitution, and his relations with these particular entities, resulting from political practice, the constitutional profile of the head of the state is demonstrated. By presenting examples from selected presidencies during the Second Republic, research hypothesis regarding the changing significance of the role of the President of the Republic as a symbol of national unity during the Second Republic, was confirmed by me.
