Woda w piwnicy i w pamięci. Współkonstruowanie rzeki i afektywne doświadczanie powodzi w Krośnie Odrzańskim

Współczesne życie nad rzeką rozgrywa się między pamięcią wezbrań a codzienną obecnością rzeki w przestrzeni, doświadczeniach i emocjach mieszkańców Krosna Odrzańskiego. W tym mieście rzeka stale negocjuje swoje granice: płynie w ziemi, podsiąka w piwnicach, wsiąka w ściany domów i współtworzy pamięć-więcej-niż-ludzką. Powodzie z lat 1997, 2010 i 2024 pozostawiły ślady nie tylko w krajobrazie, lecz także w ambiwalentnych sposobach opowiadania. Praca jest etnograficznym studium tego, jak mieszkańcy doświadczają rzeki – szczególnie wezbrania jako wydarzenia rozciągniętego w czasie i przestrzeni. Analizowane są formy obecności rzeki w codzienności: błoto, wilgoć, ślady na ścianie. Praca opowiada o cielesnym i afektywnym doświadczaniu Odry oraz o granicach rzeki, które nieustannie ulegają zatarciu.

Contemporary life by the river unfolds between the memory of high waters and the everyday presence of the river in the spaces, experiences, and emotions of Krosno Odrzańskie’s inhabitants. In this town, the river constantly negotiates its boundaries: it flows underground, seeps into basements, permeates the walls of houses, and co-creates a more-than-human memory. The floods of 1997, 2010, and 2024 have left traces not only in the landscape but also in the ambivalent ways in which they are narrated. This thesis is an ethnographic study of how residents experience the river—particularly high water—as an event extended in time and space. It explores the forms the river takes in everyday life: mud, moisture, a stain on the wall. The work speaks to the bodily and affective experience of the Odra, and to the river's boundaries that are constantly being blurred.
