The financial crisis that struck the world in 2007 has been till now quite benevolent for Poland. Our economy appaerently avoids the recession and while some macroeconomics indicators are not as good as they used to be, in general, it seems that we have been lucky this time. Nevertheless, the changes in the global economics system are profound and it is safe to assume that there are some difficult developments awaiting us. Hence, the material chosen for this volume is focused on four themes that are crucial to the growth of Polish economy in the future turbulent environment.
