A magyar gasztronómiai blogok elnevezéseiről

The aim of this paper is to examine the names of the Hungarian culinary blogs from a semantic and syntactic perspective. The language corpus represents 682 names, located on the website header. They include the main titles of the blogs and their descriptions as a subtitle. They are diverse, there are among them one-word names, qualifying, possessive or adverbial constructions, even sentences. The main titles are often continued by the subtitles, constituting a sentence together. Subtitles are often a motto, quotation from famous cooks or writers. Both titles have a nomina- tive, descriptive and pragmatic function. The bloggers are very creative, they use language games, among others contamination, transformation of titles of well-known novels, poems or children nursery rhymes. Foreign languages play an important role by the naming. Some the Hungarian blogs analysed here have English, Italian or French titles
