Ta praca licencjacka analizuje obraz małżeństwa i miłości przedstawiony w powieściach Jane Austen „Rozważna i romantyczna” oraz Theodora Fontanego „Effi Briest”. W pierwszym rozdziale omówiono realia małżeństwa w XIX-wiecznej Anglii i Niemczech, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem społecznych i kulturowych uwarunkowań zawierania związków małżeńskich. Kolejne rozdziały poświęcone są analizie głównych bohaterów obu utworów. Analizie poddano portrety psychologiczne głównych bohaterów oraz ich sposób postrzegania miłości i małżeństwa. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na rolę listów jako środka wyrażania uczuć i komunikacji między postaciami, a także na wpływ wzorców rodzinnych oraz środowiska rodzinnego na kształtowanie ich postaw wobec miłości i małżeństwa. Przeanalizowano również znaczenie rodziny w procesie podejmowania decyzji dotyczących wyboru partnera i zawarcia związku małżeńskiego. Ponadto omówiono typowe modele małżeństw przedstawione w powieściach oraz ich znaczenie dla interpretacji relacji między bohaterami.

This bachelor's thesis analyzes the portrayal of marriage and love in Jane Austen's novel „Sense and Sensibility” and Theodor Fontane's „Effi Briest”. The first chapter discusses the realities of marriage in 19th-century England and Germany, with a particular focus on the social and cultural factors influencing marital unions. Subsequent chapters are dedicated to the analysis of the main characters in both works. The analysis examines the psychological profiles of the protagonists and their perceptions of love and marriage. Special attention is paid to the role of letters as a means of expressing feelings and communicating between characters, as well as the impact of family patterns and the domestic environment on shaping their attitudes toward love and marriage. The significance of the family in the decision-making process regarding partner selection and marriage is also analyzed. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the typical models of marriage presented in the novels and their meaning for interpreting the relationships between the characters.
