Praca badawcza dotyczy zmiany pozycji społecznej i zawodowej nauczycieli na przestrzeni XXI wieku. Jest to bardzo istotny społecznie temat, ponieważ edukacja jest podstawą rozwoju zarówno całego społeczeństwa, jak i jednostki. W pierwszym rozdziale opisane zostały zagadnienia teoretyczne związane z tematem oraz analiza raportów z badań, które w sposób istotny związane są z problematyką pracy. W rozdziale drugim przedstawione zostały metody badań, które zostały zastosowane w celu uzyskania odpowiedzi na postawione pytania szczegółowe oraz główny problem badawczy. W trzecim rozdziale znajduje się analiza przeprowadzonych badań obejmująca opinie trzech różnych grup społecznych, co miało na celu zbadanie tematu z możliwie jak najszerszej perspektywy. Pierwszą stanowili nauczycieli pracujący w szkołach publicznych, drugą - dzieci i młodzież w wieku szkolnym oraz trzecią - rodzice dzieci w wieku szkolnym. W podsumowaniu znajdują się odpowiedzi na wyżej postawione pytania oraz rozwiązanie głównego problemu badawczego. Praca zwraca uwagę na bardzo istotny problem w Polskiej oświacie oraz pokazuje różne sposoby postrzegania pracy i statusu nauczycieli, co ma realny wpływ na jakość oraz warunki ich pracy.

This research paper is about the changing social and professional position of teachers over the 21st century. This is a very socially relevant topic, as education is the basis for the development of both society as a whole and the individual. The first chapter describes the theoretical issues related to the topic and the analysis of research reports, which are significantly related to the problematic of the thesis. The second chapter presents the research methods that were used to answer the specific questions posed and the main research problem. The third chapter provides an analysis of the research carried out, covering the opinions of three different groups in society, in order to explore the topic from as broad a perspective as possible. The first was made up of teachers working in public schools, the second of school-age children and adolescents and the third of parents of school-age children. The conclusion provides answers to the questions posed above and a solution to the main research problem. The paper draws attention to a very important problem in Polish education and shows different ways of perceiving the work and status of teachers, which has a real impact on the quality and conditions of their work.
