Turkish-Qatari relations after the Arab Spring: internal and international determinants of their evolution

Niniejsza praca została napisana przez Adam Saab, studenta Wydziału Nauk Politycznych i Studiów Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, pod kierunkiem i opieką naukową dr. hab. Wiesława Lizaka. Praca podejmuje analizę wewnętrznych i międzynarodowych uwarunkowań ewolucji relacji turecko-katarskich w okresie po Arabskiej Wiośnie, a także przedstawia tło historyczne rozwoju tych stosunków – od ich oficjalnych początków w czasach Imperium Osmańskiego, poprzez okres Republiki Tureckiej, aż po czasy współczesne. Ponadto praca nie tylko analizuje burzliwy okres Arabskiej Wiosny, który wywarł ogromny wpływ na krajobraz polityczny Bliskiego Wschodu, ale również bada szok wywołany blokadą Kataru oraz późniejszy kryzys w Radzie Współpracy Zatoki Perskiej (GCC) i ich znaczący wpływ na relacje między Turcją a Katarem.

This thesis is written by Adam Saab, a student of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw under the supervision and guidance of dr hab. Wiesław Lizak. The thesis explores the internal and international determinants of the evolution of Turkish – Qatari relations in the post Arab Spring period as well as exploring the historical background of the evolution of Turkish – Qatari relations from their official inception in the Ottoman period to the beginning of the relations in the post republic era of Türkiye and the present day. In addition, it not only explores the turbulent times of the Arab Spring which had an immense impact on the political landscape of the Middle East but also examines the shock of the Qatar Blockade and the subsequent GCC crisis and its impactful effect on the relations between Türkiye and Qatar.
