This master's thesis is devoted to the topic of civil mediation, with particular emphasis on the mediation settlement.

It presents the functioning of the institution of mediation within the broader context of the Code of Civil Procedure and the amendments that affected it. It presents the most important regulations affecting mediation, as well as the most important principles of mediation developed in legal literature. The thesis also addresses the most important functions of mediation from the perspective of the participant, including the issue of the mediation agreement. The mediation agreement is the most crucial part of mediation from a procedural perspective, as it has consequences for the proceedings after court approval.
