Zróżnicowanie imion patronów publicznych szkół podstawowych w Polsce oraz ich rozmieszczenie przestrzenne

Celem pracy jest wykonanie analizy korpusu patronów publicznych szkół podstawowych w Polsce oraz określenie wzorców przestrzennych ich występowania. Zasięg przestrzenny pracy to obecnie obowiązujące granice administracyjne kraju. Baza danych wykorzystana w pracy została pobrana w grudniu 2023 roku z Rejestru Szkół i Placówek Oświatowych prowadzonego przez MEN. Na przełomie kwietnia i maja 2025 roku przeprowadzona została ankieta skierowana do absolwentów szkół podstawowych dotycząca wspomnień i refleksji na temat patrona placówki, którą ukończyli oraz stopnia ważności cech charakteryzujących preferowanego przez nich patrona. Badanie przeprowadzone w pracy polegało na uporządkowaniu korpusu patronów, przeprowadzeniu ich klasyfikacji, opracowaniu i analizie map, dokonaniu obliczeń niezbędnych do analizy częstości występowania patronów oraz opracowaniu wyników ankiety. Pierwsza część pracy dotyczy definicji patrona, a także opisuje proces jego wyboru oraz rolę jaką pełni w życiu szkoły. Informacje opracowane na podstawie literatury zostały zestawione z wynikami ankiety przeprowadzonej wśród absolwentów szkół podstawowych. W drugim rozdziale dokonano analizy korpusu patronów – zostali oni sklasyfikowania według różnych kategorii, wskazanych zostało 15 patronów, którzy występują w Polsce więcej niż 100 razy, wyłoniono grupę patronów występujących jeden raz w skali całego kraju a także przytoczono historie pięciu szkół, które zdecydowały się na wybór nietypowego patrona. W trzecim rozdziale przeprowadzona została analiza rozmieszczenia szkół podstawowych ogółem, szkół posiadających i nieposiadających patrona, szkół imienia 15 najczęściej wybieranych patronów oraz szkół których patron nie powtarza się w skali kraju. Dla części patronów szkół możliwe było wskazanie prawdopodobnych przyczyn wzoru rozmieszczenia placówek ich imienia w Polsce lub zidentyfikowanie regionów o największym zagęszczeniu placówek oświatowych noszących imię danego patrona. Nie udało się to jednak w każdym analizowanym przypadku

The aim of the study is to perform an analysis of the corpus of patrons of public primary schools in Poland and to determine the spatial patterns of their occurrence. The spatial range of the work is the current administrative boundaries of the country. The database used in the work was downloaded in December 2023 from the Register of Schools and Educational Institutions maintained by the Ministry of Education. In between April and May 2025, a survey was conducted with primary school graduates regarding their memories and reflections on the patron of the institution they graduated from and the degree of importance of the characteristics of their preferred patron. The study carried out in the thesis consisted of sorting out the corpus of patrons, carrying out their classification, developing and analysing the maps, making the calculations necessary to analyse the frequency of patrons and preparing the results of the survey. The first part of the thesis deals with the definition of a patron and describes the process of choosing a patron and the role that the patron plays in the life of the school. The information compiled from the literature was contrasted with the results of a survey of primary school graduates. In the second chapter, the corpus of patrons was analysed - they were classified according to various categories, 15 patrons who occur more than 100 times in Poland were identified, a group of patrons occurring once in the whole country was selected, and the stories of five schools that decided to choose an atypical patron were presented. In the third chapter, an analysis was made of the distribution of primary schools in general, schools with and without a patron, schools named after the 15 most common patrons and schools whose patron is not repeated across the country. For some of the school patrons, it was possible to indicate the probable reasons for the pattern in the distribution of establishments named after them in Poland or to identify the regions with the highest density of educational establishments bearing the name of a given patron. However, this was not possible in every case analysed.
