Metáforas conceptuales sobre la mujer en las canciones de reguetón

Obecnie reggaeton jest jednym z najczęściej słuchanych gatunków muzycznych na świecie, a jednocześnie jednym z najbardziej kontrowersyjnych, ze względu na powszechne przedstawianie kobiet jako obiektów seksualnych lub ozdób, którymi mężczyźni mogą się pochwalić i na które mogą popatrzeć. Należy dodać, że nie wszyscy artyści kreują taki wizerunek kobiet, niektórzy wręcz przeciwnie. Wiadome jest jednak, że wielu z nich używa metafor do ich opisu. Niniejsza praca ma na celu ustalenie, jakich metafor konceptualnych używają artyści reggaetonowi w odniesieniu do kobiet: czy powielają stereotypy, takie jak przedmiotowe traktowanie kobiet, czy wręcz przeciwnie, traktują je z należytym szacunkiem i uważają za kogoś wyjątkowego. W tym celu przeanalizowano kilkanaście piosenek trzech popularnych aktualnie artystów reggaetonowych (Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez i Anuel AA) w oparciu o teorię metafory konceptualnej George'a Lakoffa i Marka Johnsona. Z mojej analizy jasno wynika, że artyści używają konceptualnych metafor, które często stawiają kobiety w świetle kogoś niezwykłego, porównując je do luksusowych przedmiotów, ale oczywiście są wyjątki.

Nowadays, reggaeton is one of the most listened musical genres in the world, and at the same time one of the most controversial, due to the widespread portrayal of women as sexual objects or ornaments for men to show off and look at. It should be added that not all artists create this image of women, some on the contrary. It is known, however, that many of them use metaphors to describe them. This thesis aims to find out what conceptual metaphors reggaeton artists use to refer to women: whether they reproduce stereotypes, such as the subjective treatment of women, or, on the contrary, treat them with due respect and consider them as someone special. To this end, a dozen songs by three currently popular reggaeton artists (Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez and Anuel AA) were analysed based on George Lakoff and Mark Johnson’s theory of conceptual metaphor. It is clear from my analysis that artists use conceptual metaphors that often put women in the light of someone extraordinary, comparing them to luxury objects, but of course there are exceptions.

En la actualidad, el reguetón es uno de los géneros musicales más escuchados en el mundo y, al mismo tiempo, uno de los más polémicos debido a la representación generalizada de las mujeres como objetos sexuales o adornos para que los hombres las exhiban y miren. Cabe añadir que no todos los artistas crean esta imagen de las mujeres, algunos hacen lo contrario. Sin embargo, se sabe que muchos de ellos utilizan metáforas para describirlas. Esta tesis tiene como objetivo descubrir qué metáforas conceptuales utilizan los artistas de reguetón para referirse a las mujeres: si reproducen estereotipos, como el trato subjetivo de las mujeres, o, por el contrario, las tratan con el debido respeto y las consideran como alguien especial. Para ello, se analizaron una docena de canciones de tres artistas de reguetón actualmente populares (Bad Bunny, Jhay Cortez y Anuel AA) basándose en la teoría de la metáfora conceptual de George Lakoff y Mark Johnson. De mi análisis se desprende que los artistas utilizan metáforas conceptuales que a menudo colocan a las mujeres en la luz de alguien extraordinario, comparándolas con objetos de lujo, aunque, por supuesto, hay excepciones.
