Abstract (EN)

The article deals with socialism as the theme in the writings of Werner Sombart, the author of such works as Socialism and Social Movement, reissued ten times, or Deutscher Sozialismus, published after the Nazis reached power in Germany. It shows how Sombart’s attitude towards the socialist movement and Marxism was changing. Initially, he was close to socialism, adopting and applying the Marxist theory, but over time he rejected it and turned to radical conservatism, developing his own concept of National Socialism. In fact, there are common features between his early and late works, start in with the immutability of many of the analytical categories and tools he used, to his anti-capitalism, the fundamental premise of his beliefs about socialism.
