Twórczość Auguste Corteau - charakterystyka i odbiór

Praca obejmuje próbę charakterystyki twórczości współczesnego greckiego pisarza, Auguste Corteau, który w swoich publikacjach operuje stałym zestawem motywów — miłość, macierzyństwo, śmierć, choroba psychiczna. Celem pracy jest analiza tych samych motywów przedstawionych w różnych książkach i sprawdzenie, czy powtarzalność jest wyznacznikiem słabego warsztatu, czy raczej stała się ona strategią pisarską Corteau. W pracy omawiane są motywy macierzyństwa i choroby psychicznej na podstawie trzech książek: Το βιβλίο της Κατερίνας (2013), Δέσποινα (2020), Η καλύτερη χειρότερη μέρα της ζωής σου (2020). Ujęcia tej samej tematyki w książkach autora są porównywane. Praca obejmuje również ogólną charakterystykę twórczości Corteau i wskazuje jej wyznaczniki, a także jej odbiór wśród czytelników i krytyków.

This paper attempts to characterize the work of a contemporary Greek author, Auguste Corteau, who employs a consistent set of themes in his writing - love, motherhood, death and mental illness. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the same themes as they appear in different books and to determine whether this repetition is a sign of weak craftsmanship or whether it has instead become a writing strategy for Corteau. The thesis discusses the themes of motherhood and mental illness based on three books: Το βιβλίο της Κατερίνας (2013), Δέσποινα (2020), Η καλύτερη χειρότερη μέρα της ζωής σου (2020). The author's treatment of the same themes across his books is compared. The thesis also includes a general overview of Corteau's work, identifying its defining characteristics as well as its reception among readers and critics.
