Introduction: The purpose of the study was to check the state of knowledge of people aged 40-50 about Alzheimer's disease and preventive measures performed in this area. Method: the study was conducted in the form of a questionnaire and 44 people in the age range of 40-50 participated. Respondents completed the survey once. The survey concerned the respondents' knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and their preventive measures. Results: The survey showed that the majority of respondents believe that they have no influence on getting AD and when they get sick. Only they have an impact on when they are diagnosed with symptoms. More than half of the respondents would go to the doctor if they were detected with the first symptoms of the disease. The second part of the survey shows that preventive measures are not practiced by all respondents. Conclusions: Based on the survey, it can be concluded that knowledge of Alzheimer's disease should be increased in society and everyone should be made aware of the importance of preventive measures in this regard. The survey showed that the respondents' knowledge on the subject is general and does not coincide to a large extent with the knowledge from the literature, which at the same time affects the unawareness of the importance of taking preventive measures in this area.
