Oferta zajęć skierowanych dla osób senioralnych w warszawskich domach kultury na terenie Dzielnicy Targówek

Celem pracy jest analiza oferty zajęć skierowanych do osób starszych w domach kultury na warszawskim Targówku. Praca wpisuje się w szerszy kontekst przemian demograficznych zachodzących w Polsce i Europie, związanych ze starzeniem się społeczeństwa, którego konsekwencją jest rosnąca potrzeba dostosowania polityki społecznej, edukacyjnej i kulturalnej do potrzeb osób w wieku 60+. W części teoretycznej omówiono podstawowe koncepcje dotyczące starości, w tym ujęcia psychologiczne, społeczne oraz kulturowe. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono animacji społeczno-kulturalnej jako narzędziu wspierania aktywności seniorów. Wskazano również, że starość jest kategorią historycznie i kulturowo zmienną, interpretowaną w różny sposób w Biblii, mitologii, filozofii oraz kulturze współczesnej. Podkreślono ambiwalentny charakter społecznych wyobrażeń starości, które oscylują między uznaniem doświadczenia i mądrości, a marginalizacją i stereotypizacją osób starszych. W części empirycznej przedmiotem analizy jest oferta instytucji kultury na Targówku, takich jak domy kultury, centra aktywności lokalnej oraz inne placówki realizujące działania na rzecz seniorów. Zwrócono uwagę na różnorodność proponowanych form aktywności, obejmujących zajęcia edukacyjne, artystyczne, sportowe i integracyjne. Analizie poddano również dostępność i potencjalną skuteczność tych działań w kontekście potrzeb osób starszych oraz ich wpływu na jakość życia, poczucie przynależności i przeciwdziałanie wykluczeniu społecznemu. W pracy wykorzystano dane statystyczne Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz raporty instytucji publicznych, które potwierdzają systematyczny wzrost udziału osób starszych w populacji Polski. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na lokalny kontekst dzielnicy Targówek, charakteryzującej się rozwiniętą siecią instytucji kultury i aktywności senioralnej. Wnioski wskazują, że oferta domów kultury na Targówku pełni istotną rolę w procesie integracji społecznej osób starszych, jednak jej skuteczność zależy od stopnia dostosowania do zróżnicowanych potrzeb seniorów oraz poziomu ich realnego uczestnictwa w tworzeniu działań kulturalnych. Praca podkreśla znaczenie partycypacyjnego modelu animacji kultury, w którym osoby starsze nie są jedynie odbiorcami, lecz współtwórcami życia kulturalnego lokalnej społeczności.

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the scope of activities available to seniors in community cultural centers in the Warsaw district of Targówek. The study is placed within the context of demographic change in Poland and the European Union, in particular population aging, as a result of which social, educational and cultural policy must respond more readily to the needs of the 60+ generation. The first chapter includes reflections on key issues related to the notion of old age: psychological, social and cultural, focusing especially on social and cultural animation as a form of practice to facilitate elderly persons' activity and social involvement. A significant point is the remark that old age is a historically and culturally variable category which appears differently in various sources, such as in the Bible, mythology, philosophy and contemporary social discourse, and which has an ambiguous value in public perception – it can be valued for its experience and wisdom on the one hand, while on the other it can be considered a marginalized stage of life, associated with stereotypes. In the second chapter, analysis concerns the social and cultural offer of institutions operating within the district of Targówek, that is to say, community cultural centers, local culture and recreation centers and various other organizations implementing projects targeted at the senior population. The diverse nature of available activities such as those focused on learning, art and leisure as well as on integrating people are all considered. Their accessibility and actual usability for the recipients and influence on their lives and feelings of belonging, in turn preventing social exclusion, are critically analyzed. In the second part of the study statistical data on a national scale, from the GUS, on a clear, increasing increase in the elderly share of the population, supplemented with reports from public organizations, have been introduced. However the study itself is focused on local realities in the Targówek district, the culture offer of which is still relatively well-developed and clearly targeted at seniors. It can be said that the cultural offer of community centers in Targówek to some extent contributes to their social integration, but the level of effectiveness is largely dependent on tailoring it to varied senior needs, and the participation of those people in co-creation of its content, which emphasizes the need to involve them more actively as co-creators, not just recipients of the culture in their locality.
