Selected Methods of Teaching Pronunciation to L2 English Learners

Niniejsza praca skupia się na nauczaniu wymowy języka angielskiego. Opisana jest historia technik jej uczenia oraz zmian związanych z odmiennymi podejściami do tematu. Następnie omówione są problemy napotykane przez uczniów, które mogą wpływać na efektywność nauczania wymowy. Później opisane są wyzwania nauczycieli oraz ich podejście do tego aspektu uczenia języka obcego. Druga połowa pracy skupia się na wybranych technikach stosowanych na lekcjach języka angielskiego, gdzie są one poddane analizie i ocenie efektywności.

This paper focuses on teaching English pronunciation. First, there is a description of the history of teaching techniques and changes related to different approaches to the topic. Then, problems encountered by students that may affect the effectiveness of pronunciation teaching are discussed, alongside teachers' challenges and their approach to this aspect of foreign language teaching. The second half of the work focuses on selected techniques used in the EFL classroom, where they are analyzed and assessed for effectiveness.
