El legado multifacético de la ocupación británica y francesa del siglo XVIII en Menorca: análisis histórico, cultural y lingüístico

Problem prawidłowej identyfikacji dziedzictwa historycznego, a tym samym kulturowego i językowego, stanowi wyzwanie w przypadku Minorki. Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie historycznego obrazu XVIII wieku Minorki, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem okresów okupacji brytyjskiej i francuskiej, a następnie zbadanie śladu, jaki pozostawiły one we współczesnym społeczeństwie wyspy. Poprzez badania historyczne, kulturowe i językowe autor niniejszej pracy zamierza ustalić, w jakim stopniu należy to przypisać wpływom zagranicznym, a w jakim roli współczesnych mieszkańców w podkreślaniu tego dziedzictwa. W niniejszej pracy zostanie wykazane, że wpływ Brytyjczyków i Francuzów jest większy niż się powszechnie uważa, a okupacje te wpłynęły nie tylko na losy wyspy. Jest to praca, która gromadzi zgromadzone przez autora tej pracy współczesne informacje i stanowi wprowadzenie do bardziej szczegółowych badań jako opracowanie referencyjne.

The problem of correct identification of historical heritage, and thus cultural and linguistic heritage, poses a challenge in the case of Minorca. The aim of this work is to present a historical picture of Minorca in the 18th century, with particular emphasis on the periods of British and French occupation, and then to examine the traces they have left on the island's contemporary society. Through historical, cultural and linguistic research, the author of this work intends to determine to what extent this should be attributed to foreign influences and to what extent to the role of contemporary inhabitants in emphasising this heritage. This work will demonstrate that the influence of the British and French is greater than is commonly believed, and that these occupations have had an impact not only on the fate of the island. This work brings together contemporary information gathered by the author and serves as an introduction to more detailed research as a reference study.

El problema de la correcta identificación del patrimonio histórico, y por ende cultural y lingüístico, supone un reto en el caso de Menorca. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una imagen histórica de la Menorca del siglo XVIII, prestando especial atención a los periodos de ocupación británica y francesa, y posteriormente analizar el rastro que estos han dejado en la sociedad actual de la isla. A través de investigaciones históricas, culturales y lingüísticas, el autor de este trabajo pretende determinar en qué medida esto debe atribuirse a influencias extranjeras y en qué medida al papel de los habitantes actuales en la puesta en valor de este patrimonio. En este trabajo se demostrará que la influencia británica y francesa es mayor de lo que se cree comúnmente, y que estas ocupaciones no solo afectaron al destino de la isla. Se trata de un trabajo que recopila la información contemporánea reunida por el autor y constituye una introducción a investigaciones más detalladas como estudio de referencia.
