Odbywanie kary pozbawienia wolności w systemie terapeutycznym w Polsce – uzależnienia i skuteczność terapii w resocjalizacji skazanych

Praca magisterska poświęcona jest analizie systemu penitencjarnego oraz struktury zakładów karnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem oddziałów terapeutycznych dla skazanych. Za głównym cel postawiono określenie roli i znaczenia terapii w systemie penitencjarnym w kształtowaniu prawidłowych postaw społecznych u osadzonych oraz wspomaganie ich procesu walki z nałogiem. W pierwszym rozdziale została omówiona ogólna koncepcja systemu penitencjarnego, rodzaje systemów wykonawczych kary pozbawienia wolności, a także cele i konsekwencje przymusu terapeutycznego. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono typom oddziałów terapeutycznych, takim jak zamknięty, półotwarty i otwarty. Kolejny rozdział koncentruje się na specjalizacjach oddziałów terapeutycznych, w tym dla skazanych z zaburzeniami psychicznymi, uzależnionych od alkoholu lub środków odurzających oraz z niepełnosprawnościami fizycznymi. Dokonano analizy znaczenia diagnozy w procesie resocjalizacji oraz istoty środka odurzającego, poruszając przy tym problem uzależnień. W trzecim rozdziale opisano metody stosowane w terapii skazanych uzależnionych od środków odurzających. Przedstawiony został szeroki zakres potrzeb terapeutycznych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem terapii przeznaczonej dla osób uzależnionych od alkoholu i narkotyków. Przeanalizowano również rolę terapeuty, wpływ zatrudnienia jako czynnika pomocowego w terapii oraz zapobieganie zachowaniom autoagresywnym i samobójczym. Skupiono się także na perspektywach rozwoju terapii uzależnień w polskich zakładach karnych. Zakończenie pracy stanowi syntezę głównych wniosków z przeprowadzonej analizy, podkreślając cele pracy oraz zastosowane techniki i metody badawcze. Uwzględniono przy tym istotę działań terapeutycznych w kontekście resocjalizacji skazanych, podsumowując znaczenie oddziałów terapeutycznych jako jednego z kluczowych elementów systemu penitencjarnego.

The Master's thesis is focused on the analysis of the penitentiary system and the structure of prisons, with particular emphasis on therapeutic wards for convicts. The main goal was to determine the role and importance of therapy in the penitentiary system in the formation of correct social attitudes in inmates and to assist their process of struggle with addiction. The first chapter discusses the general concept of the penitentiary system, the types of executive systems of imprisonment, as well as the goals and consequences of therapeutic coercion. Particular consideration is given to the types of therapeutic wards, such as closed, semi-open and open. The next chapter focuses on the specializations of therapeutic wards, including those for convicts with mental adversities, those addicted to alcohol or drugs, and those with physical disabilities. An analysis is made of the importance of diagnosis in the process of resocialization and the essence of the intoxicating substance, touching on the problem of addiction. The third chapter describes the methods used in the treatment of convicted drug addicts. A wide range of therapeutic needs are presented, with particular emphasis on therapy designed for people addicted to alcohol and drugs. The role of the therapist, the impact of employment as a supportive factor in therapy, and the prevention of self-aggressive and suicidal behavior are also analyzed. It also focuses on the prospects for the development of addiction therapy in Polish correctional facilities. The conclusion of the paper is a synthesis of the main conclusions of the analysis, highlighting the objectives of the work, the research techniques and methods used. In doing so, the essence of therapeutic activities in the context of the rehabilitation of convicts was taken into account, summarizing the importance of therapeutic departments as one of the key elements of the penitentiary system.
