Niniejsza praca skupia się na analizie motywu kobiety algierskiej w malarstwie, literaturze i fotografii XIX i XX wieku, wykorzystując podejścia intermedialne i transmedialne. Przedmiotem analizy są: zbiór opowiadań Assii Djebar Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement, obrazy Kobiety Algieru (Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement) Eugène'a Delacroix i Kobiety algierskie (Femmes d'Alger, version O) Pabla Picassa, seria fotografii Marca Garangera oraz anonimowe fotografie algierskich kobiet z lat 1960–1980. Celem pracy jest ukazanie ewolucji przedstawień kobiety algierskiej w różnych mediach na przestrzeni trzech kluczowych momentów w historii Algierii: okresu kolonialnego, wojny algierskiej i czasu po odzyskaniu niepodległości. Analiza odsłania złożoność wizerunku kobiety algierskiej: od orientalizmu w dziełach Delacroix, przez reinterpretacje Picassa, po autentyczny głos Algierek w zbiorze opowiadań Djebar. Praca bada, w jaki sposób podejścia intermedialne i transmedialne umożliwiają głębsze zrozumienie tych dzieł w ich historycznym i kulturowym kontekście.

This M.A. thesis focuses on the analysis of the motif of the Algerian woman in painting, literature and photography of the 19th and 20th centuries, using intermedial and transmedial approaches. The objects of analysis include Assia Djebar's collection of novels Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement, the paintings Women of Algiers (Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement) by Eugène Delacroix and Women of Algiers (Femmes d'Alger, version O) by Pablo Picasso, a series of photographs by Marc Garanger and anonymous photographs of Algerian women from 1960-1980. The aim of the study is to show the evolution of representations of the Algerian woman in various media over three key moments in Algerian history: the colonial period, the Algerian War and the time after independence. The analysis reveals the complexity of the image of the Algerian woman: from Orientalism in the works of Delacroix to Picasso's reinterpretations, throughout the authentic voice of the Algerian woman in the novels of Djebar. The work explores how intermedial and transmedial approaches enable a deeper understanding of these works in their historical and cultural context.

Ce mémoire porte sur l'analyse du motif de la femme algérienne dans la peinture, la littérature et la photographie des XIXe et XXe siècles, en appliquant des approches intermédiale et transmédiale. Le corpus se compose du recueil de nouvelles Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement d'Assia Djebar, des tableaux Femmes d'Alger dans leur appartement d'Eugène Delacroix et Femmes d'Alger (version O) de Pablo Picasso, d’une série de photographies de Marc Garanger et des photographies anonymes de femmes algériennes de 1960 à 1980. L'objectif de cette étude est de montrer l'évolution des représentations de la femme algérienne dans différents médias à trois moments clés de l'histoire algérienne : la période coloniale, la guerre d'Algérie et la période post- indépendance. L'analyse révèle la complexité de l'image de la femme algérienne : de l'orientalisme dans les œuvres de Delacroix aux réinterprétations de Picasso, en passant par la voix authentique de la femme algérienne dans le recueil de nouvelles de Djebar. Le travail explore comment les approches intermédiale et transmédiale permettent une compréhension plus profonde de ces œuvres dans leur contexte historique et culturel.
