Początki polskiej bankowości na Pomorzu Zachodnim po II wojnie światowej
Abstrakt (EN)
The study presents the process of establishing Polish banking institutions and the scale of their lending activity in Western Pomerania in the immediate postwar period, i.e. in the years 1945–1946. The process in question was influenced by both the political and economic situation of these areas as well as by the pace of introducing Polish administration. The first part shows the creation of structures of Polish economic administration in Western Pomerania, the second one presents the organization of a network of financial institutions (mainly banks) in this area and their lending activity. The article shows that in the years 19451946 the Szczecin voivodeship was very poorly developed as compared to other voivodeships, ivity. both in terms of a network of bank branches as well as the size of their lending activity.
