Ucieczki od niewoli formy, czyli szukanie Kampu w „Metafizyce dwugłowego cielęcia” Witkacego

Praca zestawia ze sobą estetykę dzieł Stanisława Ignacego Witkiewicza z kampem. Analizowanym w tym celu dramatem Witkacego jest Metafizyka dwugłowego cielęcia, jako reprezentacyjny dla założeń jego stylu oraz zawierające tematykę bliską kampowi. Kostiumy, scenografia oraz osoby dramatu interpretowane są pod kątem poszukiwań tożsamościowych. Wpracy poruszane jest zagadnienie sztuczności oraz roli w kulturze masowej. Szczególna uwaga poświęcona jest zagadnieniu subwersywnego wykorzystania wzorców zakorzenionych w kulturze. Posiłkując się między innymi pracami Marty Skwary, Ewy Wąchockiej, Susan Sontag, autor przeprowadził szczegółową analizę tekstu dramatycznego. Ukazane są zależności między bohaterami, również w kontekście myśli Sigmunda Freuda. Poruszona jest również problematyka modernistycznego kryzysu metafizyki oraz tożsamości. Następnie przedstawione są zbieżności między omawianymi estetykami. Z odwołaniem się do wybranych elementów biografii, kwestii teatru awangardowego oraz założeń Witkacego i środowiska ciotowskiego, udowadniana jest zasadność ich porównania, będącego celem pracy.

The work compares the aesthetics of the works of Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz with camp. Witkacy's drama analyzed for this purpose is Metaphysics of the two-headed calf, as representative of the characteristics of his style and containing themes close to camp. The costumes, set design and characters of the play are interpreted in terms of identity searches. The work addresses the issue of artificiality and the role in mass culture. Particular attention is paid to the issue of subversive use of patterns rooted in culture. Using the works of Marta Skwara, Ewa Wąchocka, Susan Sontag, among others, the author conducted a detailed analysis of the play. The relationships between the characters are shown, also in the context of Sigmund Freud's thought . The issue of the modernist crisis of metaphysics and identity is also addressed. Then, the convergences between the discussed aesthetics are presented. With reference to selected elements of biography, issues of avant-garde theatre and the style of Witkacy and the queer circles, the validity of their comparison, which is the aim of the work, is proven.
