Praca jest analizą literacką opowiadania Dzień i noc Leo Lipskiego w perspektywie geopoetyki i trauma studies. Obok dwóch metodologii przyjęto również konwencję literacką, jaką jest literatura grozy. Przestrzeń opowiadania Lipskiego pełni w poniższej analizie rolę nośnika traumy, której doświadcza główny bohater. Celem pracy jest wydobycie elementów grozy w przestrzeni jako literackiego wyrazu traumatycznych przeżyć autora. The thesis is a literary analysis of Leo Lipski's short story Day and Night from the perspectives of geopoetics and trauma studies. Alongside these two methodologies, the literary convention of horror literature is also adopted. In this analysis, the space within Lipski's story serves as a carrier of the trauma experienced by the main character. The aim of the thesis is to highlight elements of horror in the space as a literary expression of the author's traumatic experiences. The thesis consists of three main parts, divided into smaller subsections, along with an introduction, conclusion, and bibliography. The first part discusses the two methodologies and the adopted literary convention. The second chapter analyzes the space within the story from a geopoetic perspective, showing how the horror of the space is revealed in the story. The final part focuses on examining the story in the context of trauma studies. The adopted chronological approach facilitates understanding the role of horror in Lipski's narrative, which is mainly described in the second chapter. The conclusion summarizes the findings and answers the research questions posed in the introduction of the thesis.
