„Krytyka zaprzeczna” we wczesnej epistolografii Leopolda Staffa

The article examines Leopold Staff’s early epistolography in order to show various aspects of the poet’s „negative criticism” understood as a form of discourse as well as a cognitive and artistic attitude which the poet juxtaposed with melancholy. It argues that Staff’s opinions about modernity (based on irony, derision, parody, exaggeration) and their aesthetic code can be situated across a range of contexts, e.g. the work of the Płanetnicy, the style of Nietzschean culture criticism, the work of French caricaturists.
