Citizen Science (nauka obywatelska) i GIS mobilny dla społeczności lokalnej na przykładzie aplikacji TRASH

Using the methodology of Citizen Science, the TRASH application was prepared and used with the mobile GIS. Earlier experiences from the 1990s collected by the authors allowed us to simplify the TRASH application to the maximum, without losing anything in terms of quantitative and qualitative data. In addition, the TRASH applicationwas enriched by collecting time data regarding periods of garbageformation. Currently, data collection is carried out in cooperation with pupils from a secondary school in Chęciny town. The results obtained so far allow to draw conclusions regarding the improvement of the TRASH project methodology and the activities of the services of the commune of Chęciny town in the scope of improving waste management.
